  2. Visit some of the top but off the beaten path historic sites including:
  • The Baths of Caracalla- a second-century bathing complex in the center of Ancient Rome
  • Museo della Mura – built into the ancient Roman walls walking around it gives you a strong grasp of the size and grandeur of the ancient city
  • MACRO- Museo d’Arte Contemporanea – this contemporary art museum is something to behold with its glossy steel-and-glass finished exterior a juxtaposition to the red-and-black interior. The art exhibitions are impressive and the building is equally so.
  • Church of San Luigi dei Francesi – home to the French churchgoing community and just as lovely as Versailles this treasure is also home to three beautiful baroque paintings you must see.
  • The Pantheon is also a must see- dedicated to the seven planetary divinities and featuring an interior of gorgeous marble the Pantheon is one of the most impressive monuments in Rome.

In addition to the new flights to Italy, United will operate previously announced new summer-season service between Chicago and Dublin in 2015.
