Stuart Rothstein, SmartCars founder is an energetic dynamo; quick to find humor in situations and quick to identify opportunity.
In 1994 that opportunity was in SmartCars. The only transportation modes available in Chicago at this time were taxis and Limousine services with their long stretched vehicles. He was quick to note that SmartCars as an “intelligent chauffeured transportation” and even more quick to establish himself as the premier luxury car service for executives and celebrities alike.
Through the years Stuart created a culture with close ties to a loyal and experienced “family” of chauffeurs and staff. This has resulted in positive incident-free transportation experiences over 99.7% of the time! Being an individual who pays close attention to detail, Stuart also focused on communication and back office systems as well as their integration with the company’s operational software (Santa Cruz). He is at the forefront of the industry and has trained many in the field.
SmartCars has grown with partnerships all over the world.
And.. which other company has such an interesting founder at the helm: degree in Molecular Genetics, an MBA from the University of Chicago, a former CBOE floor trader and Wall Street Arbitrageur.
